About the event
In this workshop participants will learn the history and technique of Slip Trailing, the application Julie Miller uses to hand apply her designs. Slip Trailing is where you take slip, which is watered down clay that is made into a slurry, put it into a squeeze bottle and draw directly onto the clay. Think of it like puffy paint with liquid clay or similar to piping a cake. Each participant will choose from either an oval or rectangle tray for their piece. *For everyone from beginners to advanced! Ages 15+
Pottery is a long process and will need to fired in the kiln after the workshop. Each piece will go through a bisque firing (where the clay is turned into stone) and then the glaze firing. Pieces will be ready for pick up in approximately 4 weeks from the initial workshop.
