Ornaments Slip Trailing Workshop - November

In this workshop participants will create up to 6 holiday ornaments and will be able to slip trail designs on them, the application Julie Miller uses to hand apply her designs. Slip Trailing is where you take slip, which is watered down clay that is made into a slurry, put it into a squeeze bottle and draw directly onto the clay. Think of it like puffy paint for adults or similar to piping a cake.

Each participant will create their ornaments using various cookie cutters. If you have a favorite cookie cutter that you would like to bring from home please do! *For everyone from beginners to advanced! Preferably open to kids 12+ unless you have an artistically gifted child that is up for the challenge.

Pottery is a long process and will need to fired in the kiln after the workshop. Each piece will go through a bisque firing…
